The Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna or IITP) is one of the 23 IITs, located in Bihta near Patna, Bihar. Established by an Act of the Indian Parliament on August 6, 2008, it is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.
The institute operates from a sprawling 501-acre permanent campus that became fully operational in 2015. IIT Patna is consistently recognized for its academic and research excellence, pushing boundaries in education and innovation.
